Editorial and corrections policy

This page explains how the content of educacionsexual.org is created, which sources we use, how it is reviewed, what each review label means and how we correct errors.

How the content is created

Every entry, guide and article is written with the help of artificial intelligence from official and scientific sources, cited on the page itself. The system starts from structured characteristics (position, supports, mobility, anatomy) and a safety-and-evidence system with defined areas. Nothing is published without automatic quality checks and an editorial review.

Images are digitally generated illustrations, never photographs of real people.

Which sources we use

Official health bodies (WHO, ministries and health agencies), scientific societies and peer-reviewed journals. On each page we state which claims are supported by evidence and which are not. The full method is in Methodology: safety and evidence.

How content is reviewed and what each label means

“Reviewed by the editorial team”: the entry has gone through the editorial team’s review and correction process (quality checks and applied corrections), with the date of that review.

“Reviewed by Francisco Muñoz, editor”: the responsible editor has personally validated the position’s technical sheet (features, name and image) and the applied corrections, with the date of that validation.

When a page shows no label, it only shows the date of its last update. The review date changes only when the page is actually reviewed.

The responsible editor is not a healthcare professional: the editorial review guarantees consistency, sources and clarity; it does not replace clinical validation.

Expert programme

Professionals in medicine, sexology, physiotherapy and sexual health can review and sign, under their own name, the health sections of each entry, according to their specialty and language. Signatures show who reviewed what and when, and expire if the signed content changes. More in the expert directory.

How an error is corrected

If you spot an error, an outdated source or an unsupported claim, write to support@educacionsexual.org or use the contact page, stating the page address and the problem.

We check the report against the sources, correct the page and update its review date. Relevant health errors are corrected first. We do not publish errata lists: the corrected page is the current version.
